What started as an interest, spawned a hobby, blossomed into a passion, and became process and product. We began brewing in five-gallon batches, on our stove, in our apartment. Little by little, we grew our expertise, our equipment, our knowledge, and our capacity. Over the years, we have produced a National Homebrew Competition second round award-winning Double IPA and multiple club awards. We decided it's time to share our beers with our community.
People always ask, "Where'd you come up with your name?" Well, as with our business, it's rooted in our home brewery. When we built our first keggle (brew kettle made from a keg), the cut-out top kept falling into the beer. We used JB Weld to epoxy three pennies around the perimeter of the cut-out to prevent this, but three wasn't enough, so we added three more for... that's right! Six Pennies!
